Administration and Reception Training

General Skills covered by this course:

Reception Training includes: greeting visitors, handling enquiries, conveying community information, communication skills (both talking and listening), telephone skills, basic computer skills, sourcing information.

Administration Training covers: creating basic documents, issuing receipts, preparing accounts for payment, photocopying, faxing documents, email procedures, record keeping, ordering stationery and other office supplies, managing correspondence, file management, time management.

Volunteer Training gives: assistance and preparation in applying for volunteer positions in various areas of the community and differing organisations.

This program consists of one classroom based, accredited course and one non-accredited on-the-job Reception/Administration training.

Participants may enrol to both courses or just to one of them.

Accredited course:

Fridays 9.30 am - 1.30 pm

Cost: FREE for participants enrolling in both parts of the course (accredited and on-the-job)
$160 ACFE non-concession fee
$80 ACFE concession
$250 non residents

Non-Accredited:

Minimum commitment of 3.5 hours per week as PMNH Reception Volunteer, either during the mornings or afternoons. This is a training designed to teach you work-skills in the Administration area.
